During my visit to Palestine with friends, we went to a recommended place for the best Knafeh, Kanafeh, (arabic كنافة) in the city, but probably in the whole world. Deep in the heart of Nablus, in the local bakery Al-Aqsa Sweets, people of all ages come together to enjoy the only product that the bakery produces: Knafeh. The restaurant was crowded for a good reason and as I waited in line to get a plate of this amazing dessert that I had never tried before, I could watch it being prepared. As soon as we had our knafeh, we sat down and quietly ate this delicious slice of crispy dough with safran, a special warm melted cheese inside and sugar syrup on top of it. I felt so happy and even though my stomach was already quite full I ate some more.
